One of the neat features of Drupal 7 is the integration between the date and
time handling, and the multi-language configurations. With the locale module enabled, Date strings can be localize into the various languages enabled on your Drupal installation.
For a recent client project at Bluespark, we’re using Drupal 7 with the Navbar module, also known as the Mobile friendly navigation toolbar. This module is a backport of the administration menu used in core Drupal 8.
Drupal version 8 has dropped support for the “Dashboard” module, which means there wasn’t an icon for this top-level menu item in the Drupal 7 version, leaving the main menu with an unsightly empty white space.
Because I don’t have time to monitor stream-of-consiousness talk on the Drupal IRC channels, I stayed subscribed for the longest time to the Drupal mailing lists, thinking that it would help me stay abreast of what people are talking about in the Drupal world. However, I’ve come to realize now that some of these lists really have had little benefit for me over the past few years.
